Computer Lab Resources for Community Psychology

As researchers, teachers, and students in the field of community psychology, we frequently rely on computers for various tasks in our daily work. These tasks range from basic word processing and manuscript preparation to complex statistical operations. With the rise of the Internet, computers have also become essential for creating and maintaining web pages and sites, such as the Community Psychology Network.

The Computer Lab section of the Community Psychology Network aims to provide valuable resources to assist users with their computing needs. This includes links to various software packages, online tutorials for statistical analysis, and general information pertaining to both Macintosh and IBM-compatible PCs.

HTML Tutorial

The Community Psychology Network originated from Matthew Cook’s vision of creating a comprehensive website dedicated to the field of community psychology. He recognized a significant need among students, professors, and other professionals for a centralized resource that cataloged the vast amount of information available on the Internet related to community psychology. His passion for the field, combined with his interest in computers and the web, led him to develop this award-winning website.

Matt’s combined interests in computers and community psychology evolved into a passion for teaching hypertext markup language (HTML), empowering others to utilize this technology in their classrooms, dorm rooms, and community-based projects. To facilitate this, he began developing an online, easy-to-understand tutorial for HTML, hoping that others could learn from his experiences and create classrooms of the 21st century.
